Children’s Museum of Illinois – Decatur, Illinois
A great place to take kids who thirst for fun and knowledge, the Children’s Museum of Illinois presents hands-on exhibits that explore science, world cultures, art and everyday living. In “Johnston’s Supermarket,” for example, kids learn about grocery shopping (they can even choose to pay with cash or check!); meanwhile, “Where in the World Am I?” uses a camera kiosk to expose visitors to faraway places like Southeast Asia and Australia.
The museum offers a collection of ever changing exhibits designed to challenge children’s minds int he arts and sciences using hands-on learning.l They can experience flying in a plane, climbing a culture called Luckey’s climber, or even imagine them rushing a patient to the hospital. These are just some of the experiences your children can experience at the museum.
The museum also has educational exhibits and programs to keep the kids learning and growing. They change regularly so you can come often and learn something new.
