Other museum highlights include distinguished collections of modern and contemporary art; extensive galleries of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean art; and impressive collections of American and European decorative arts. The 68 captivating Thorne Miniature Rooms are a favorite of all ages.

  1. WELL,,, I hesitate to call the stuff in the Art Institute beautiful–– in the modern wing at least.

    More of a conceptual take on art, in the vein of “look even this can be considered art,” than the pursuit of beauty.
