Raging Buffalo Snowboard Park – Algonquin, IL offers the snowboard only park for snowboarders from all over the country. Raging Buffalo is about 50 miles from Chicago, located on Illinois Route 31 on the McHenery-Kane County border, between Algonquin and Carpentersville.
Raging Buffalo bills itself as the world’s first snowboard park, and we have no reason to doubt it. This is a snowboard-only area that seems to draw alot of hardcore single stick disciples. Even if that’s not for you, the views over the Fox River are worth the trip.
There are beginner slopes, intermediate, advanced and expert slopes. Vertical drop of 200′, 2 lifts, Rope tows/T-Bars 2/0 with which you can use Halfpipe, kickers, tabletops, gaps.
