Hickory Shadows is a non-profit organization of exotic and wildlife rehabilitation and education facility. The goal is to provide the rehabilitation and rescue of animals. Gordon Richards, President of Hickory Shadows, acquired Miss Pooh, a young black bear that was rejected from its parents at birth. Gordon is now raising Miss Pooh until she is rehabilitated. Hickory Shadows Inc. Also has two more black bears, a Siberian cat, a camel, llamas, horses, Christ donkeys, emus, foxed, goats, ducks, and many more animals for the public to view during the guided tours.
In addition, Hickory Shadows Inc. has a petting area for the children where the kids will be allowed to receive food from quarter machines to feed the various animals.
There is a great need for support for organizations such as this, we need to take care of the animals for future generations to enjoy.
