Lusk Creek Area – Eddyville, Illinois

Lusk Creek Area – Eddyville, Illinois is a National Scenic Designation which can only be reached by trail, but hiking or horseback.

Indian Kitchen is a trail on the south end of the Indian Wall at the hairpin turn in Lusk Creek and is only for the daring and agile. Beginners will want to avoid this area.

Salt Petre Cave (a series of rock shelters) is in the northern section and can be reached from the parking lot which is two miles morth of Eddyville. This area has waterfalls, clear water, beaver, bobcat, dense foliage and beautiful rock formations.
