I love the garden of the gods in Illinois its the best i went there more then 1nc and i want to go back!!

very beautiful and interesting area. isited here in spring of 2009. We plan on making another trip to Shawnee National Forest area during the peach time so mayu go back again. Would like to see Bell Smith spring area next trip.

I wonder if any of the caves in this area has anything to do with Hicks Dome? The Garden of the Gods, and Rim Rock Trail the whole area if that seems to have some kind of geological story behind them. Strange, nobody investagates Cave Hill, I hear it goes on for miles, even under the Ohio river. How was all this created? Ice Age, or was this area under great water at some point?
