Village of East Davenport - Davenport, Iowa

Village of East Davenport - Davenport, Iowa
A collection of businesses in a unique setting, just like the little towns from days gone by.

This National Register Historic District was once a training camp for Civil War soldiers, and now includes a variety of art galleries, small shops, restaurants, local pubs and parks. Enjoy the vista from Lindsay or Prospect Parks, or take a cruise aboard the Channel Cat Water Taxi, which docks just east of the Lindsay Harbor Boat Club. View the RiverWay gateway and art project "Architechtural Park" while awaiting your water taxi ride (bicycles welcome). Just downstream from the boat club is the bronze sculpture "Watching the Ferry," based on a drawing of the same name by John Bloom, a long-time local artist and student of Grant Wood. Further downstream is the Lake Davenport Sailing Club.
