Barn Theater, Richmond Hill Park - Geneseo, Illinois

The Barn Theater is located atop the bluff in Geneseo. Created in 1968 to be the home of the theater this is a wonderful adventure for all to enjoy.

The group converted the top floor of an old dairy barn to fit their needs and has never looked back. The recently renovated Barn now seats 165 per performance in a rare and unique in-the-round environment beneath the original, rustic timbers.

Currently, the Players stage all six productions at the Barn in a season running from February through October. RHP prides itself in presenting a wide variety of comedies, dramas, and thrillers that local audiences might not otherwise have the opportunity to see.

Take I-80 East to Illinois
Take the Geneseo exit, Exit 19
Turn LEFT (north) onto IL Rt. 82 (aka Oakwood Ave)
Go 1/2 mile to S. State St (just before Pizza Hut, watch for green & white Richmond Hill Park/Richmond Hill Theater sign)
Turn LEFT onto State St., cross small creek bridge and make an IMMEDIATE LEFT onto Robinson Dr.
Follow Robinson Drive along the creek and up the hill to the Barn

from Illinois (West)
Take I-280 East towards Chicago
At I-80 /I-74 / I-280 interchange (aka The Big X) continue east on I-80 (follow signs to Chicago)
Take the Geneseo exit, Exit 19
Turn LEFT (north) onto IL Rt. 82 (aka Oakwood Ave)
Go 1/2 mile to S. State St (just before Pizza Hut, watch for green & white Richmond Hill Park/Richmond Hill Theater sign)
Turn LEFT onto State St., cross small creek bridge and make an IMMEDIATE LEFT onto Robinson Dr.
Follow Robinson Drive along the creek and up the hill to the Barn

Take I-80 West towards Moline
Take the Geneseo exit, Exit 19
Turn RIGHT (north) onto IL Rt. 82 (aka Oakwood Ave)
